MMEB interupted their Queen Mum 100th birthday celebration for a 75 min gig at the Expo in Hannover. According to NDR2 radio 40.000 people
attended the concert at the Plaza stage. This was the biggest MMEB concert I´ve ever been. After Hamburg and Peine this was the third concert
this year in cooperation with NDR2. It´s a good deal for the band since that means a huge audience (ca. 10.000 in Hamburg and Peine) and a lot of
promotion on the NDR2 broadcasts. In Hannover they played: Joybringer Intro, Shelter, Castles, Marthas Madman, SOS, Demolition Man, She was, Blinded, Davys and as encores Redemption Song and Mighty Quinn.
Most of the 40.000 were not hardcore fans and curious what this „legendary" band would play. Most of the people were not familiar with the first
songs. The first big applauses were for Marthas and even bigger for Demolition Man. Once again I noticed that the latter one meets the taste of the
younger people who like the strong bass and rhythm basis. Starting with Blinded the people got what they were waiting for. The mood became
enthusiastic and lasted until the final song. After Mighty Quinn the folks shouted for more encores but again no surprises, the gig was over. When
we were going home my girlfriend and I became aware of the huge number of people. An unbelievable concert of MMEB at the Expo. Don´t miss both! Juergen
