Apr 1969

Manfred Mann and Mike Hugg starts a side project to the Manfred Mann pop group, which they call Emanon (no name spelled backwards) with Steve York (bass), Manfred Mann (keyboards), Mike Hugg (vocals and keyboards), Bernie Living (saxaphone & flute), Craig Collinge (drums).

Live at London Institute of Contemporary Arts, plus:

  • Sonny Corbett - trumpet
  • Carl Griffith - saxaphone
  • Dave Coxhill - saxaphone
  • Clive Stevens - saxaphone
  • Gerald Drewett - trombone

Emanon records The Michelin Theme

 

June 1969

Mann disbands the pop group Manfred Mann

 

August 1969

Release of 'Michelin Theme' (go radial go michelin)

 

16/10/69

Live in Newcastle, first gig as Manfred Mann Chapter III with the same line up.

 

November 1969

Release of Manfred Mann Chapter III LP

 

February 1970

Release of Maxwell House Shake (one side 7" flexi)

 

Spring 1970

Craig Collinge quits during the Vol 2 sessions. Conrad Isidore and Andrew McCulloch fit in.

 

March 1970

Bernie Living leaves band
