Manfred Mann's Earthband - On The Road November 2000
Saturday/ Sunday 18/19 September, Moscow, Russia

Well, well! That was that! Of course, not so many people remembered MMEB in Russia - we had only one album local. The 27,000 hall wasn't filled
more than 2/3 but there was many real fans at dance-hall. Me, too. So, the evening began exactly as it was usually: Iīll Give You - this thing was beautiful, but the hall kept silence. :-(

Shelter From The Storm
- this is very special thing for me, and we danced and sang with my girlfriend. Noel and Mick were amazing. The hall felt some warm. :-) Nothing Ever Happens
- that's real thing. Almost unfamous in Russia, but Noel made it real good. That thing pressed hall to make sound. :-) |

Castles Burning
(Donīt Let It Bring You Down) - The hall was loud, they known this thing. Then was a big, big duet of Mick and Manfred. It was ended by - Marthas Madman. The hall met this song by roar, cry, and other crowd's sound :-) Yes, that was one of famous songs in Russia. Noel had impressed hall - the dance party was real mad, other places were stood up and dance.
Donīt Kill It Carol
was good. After all, Mick is really great man, the people in Moscow like him, I think. By the time, he put off the tie (in the beginning of concert he was in a suit, in the end he looked like after the battle - without tie and some wet... :-) ) He played with hall, made great impressions with guitar - kind of magic!
Angels At My Gate - uhm. I don't remember it. I danced and sang all the time. Then Noel appeared again. SOS
- the original ABBA version was so changed, that many people didn't know the song! Noel laughed and fooled the hall. Father Of Night, Father Of Day Demolition Man Both songs were very impressive. The Demoman was
with a great light, fantastic keyboard. I was astonished, overwhelmed! After Demolition Man the hall was blown up :-) Manfred and his band did with them what they wanted to. She Was Blinded By The Light
- Yes! the people were singing. I think, not many of them knew the words, but they tried. After this song the band left the scene. Crowd thought that was all and cried. The band had wait two minutes and returned.
Davy's On The Road Again
- that was new version for me. Some harder than Chris' version. The light and sound almost destroyed the Sporthall. :-) Then the band disappeared again. The crowd was almost as loud as music. The band appeared again after some minutes.
Redemption Song . Say true, I don't understand, why this song was in the end. People were fired up, they shouted "MAN-FRED MANN!". Noel made this thing good, but the crowd called out for more. The finale.
"Do you want some more?!" - said Noel. "YEEAHH!" - answered people. "Ok, is there doctor in a house?" - asked Noel. "We don't need a doctor!" - I cryed in response, standing near the scene.
He pointed on me and said:"A-ha! I think, YOU are the doctor!" And than was last massive attack of MMEB - Mighty Quinn!
They were powerful, they did the unwriteable things. Mick made some sounds from "Smoke on the Water" - the real good joke!
After all, I cannot say something about Manfred himself - his keyboards was everywhere and it was the mystic itself. They promised to come here next year. I'll come anyway. Thanks the MMEB and thanks, folks for reading this.
